The Ordering Process

STEP ONE : SIZING AND PRICES

If you'd be interested in a commission, you can either start by messaging me for my prices or looking at the 'prices' section of my page. If you have decided which size you'd like, please contact me either by phone, Facebook or Email (all found in the Contacts tab).

STEP TWO : PHOTOS

A vital part of a personal commission is the photo. In order to draw a high-quality realistic drawing, I will need a high quality reference photo. All of the information can be found on the 'Photo requirements' part of my page also.

If you live in Mattishall, Dereham or surrounding areas, please mention that when messaging me, as I may be able to come and do a photo shoot with your animal, so I can get the most perfect photos. I also have a contract you will have to sign. You will need to message me your address which I will then send to you. Give it a read, fill in the bits, and send it back to me! Then I can start!

STEP THREE : DRAWING YOUR PHOTO

STEP FOUR : PAYMENT

I require a minimum of half of the total price paid upfront to secure your place. Then, if you haven't already paid fully you won't have to pay anything until the drawing is completed. In the time between the first payment and the second, I understand it's a bit odd paying for something you may not receive for months, so I will message you every few weeks just to keep you updated and how far away your commission is.

Payment can either be made by Paypal or bank transfer or meeting me if you live near however the other two ways are recommended

When I start your drawing, I'll edit the photos then start drawing on high-quality Bristol Board and I use mostly artist standard Faber-Castell Polychromo coloured pencils. I don't usually do any background's on my drawings as I love the white plain background as it brings your focus into the drawing much more. I do also leave a masking tape width border around my drawing, as it leaves room for a mount and frame.

STEP FIVE : POSTAGE

I usually send all of my artwork that requires posting in secured postage tubes. Despite having to roll the drawings, I chose to do this as I had 3 experiences of my drawings, when packaged flat, being totally bent and ruined in the postal process. The bigger the drawings (A2 or A1 size) will have more expensive postage as big tubes are not cheap to post! However, if needs be we can arrange that when ordering.

Each piece of art I do comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity, which just states the name of the piece, sizes, copyright etc. Also, all packaged in a cellophane pocket, a receipt of what you've ordered and one of my business cards (if you're lucky, maybe a little discount card too now and then!)
